cenk sidar, president

Cenk Sidar is a global risk executive with extensive experience assisting top financial institutions, multinational corporations, risk management firms, and legal firms operating in high-risk regions. 

Sidar has written for, been interviewed by, and worked with the leading newspapers and media organizations, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, CNBC, Bloomberg, Foreign Policy, CCTV and Al Jazeera. Sidar has also addressed audiences around the world, including at UK House of Commons, Cornell, Tufts, Johns Hopkins (SAIS) and CFR. 

Sidar holds an MA degree in international economics and international relations from Johns Hopkins University’s School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, a postgraduate degree in European studies from SAIS’s Bologna Center in Italy, and a BA degree in business administration and international relations from the Istanbul Bilgi University.

bo friddell, managing director

Bo joined as Managing Director of Sidar Global in April, 2017. He was previously the Associate Director of Research for SGV, where he focused primarily on projects in North Africa, the Middle East, and Central Asia.

In addition to prior roles as a researcher and investigator, Bo has garnered extensive on-site project management experience in MENA and Central America. He also gained familiarity with global media and media production while working for CNN International's World Business Today and Quest Means Business.

Bo holds an MA degree in International Economics and International Relations, with specializations in Middle East Studies and International Finance, from Johns Hopkins University's School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). He earned a BA degree in history from Haverford College, where he also played basketball and baseball.
